Registrar,

Enclo. No. 4

Copy.

Yesterday I saw Mr. A. W. Hill at his

house and received the report which I handed to you. Mr. Hill is in charge of sales, he sends the orders

for sale to the Auctioneers; it is his duty to keep

e book in which to enter all orders for sale, dates,

proceeds of sale etc.

He is the only person who can check the Auctioneer and see that the proceeds are promptly paid into Court. Mr. Hill told me the Auctioneering and Brokering Company supplied provisions and advanced money

to the s.s. "Ling Nam". I understood that the said

company were satisfied that the proceeds of sale of the

ship would be sufficient to enable them to get their

money back and that they were willing to take the risk.

(Sd). C. D. Melbourne,

Deputy Registrar.
